More on our experience of Auditing practice

This includes:

Extensive experience of auditing practice in different local authorities in London and the South East : we have twenty-five years experience of practice audits – from audits of paper-based records to records contained in contemporary programmes such as MOSAIC.
Improvement audits: recent audits for local authority clients have focused on problematic practice areas (e.g. referrals, assessments and care plans) or have followed processes and used templates associated with OFSTED inspections of safeguarding and services to children who are looked after.
Tailored audits: we have experience of auditing practice of specific practice groups (e.g. IROs) or undertaking more rounded multi-agency audits to gain a triangulated perspective of the quality of collaboration or practice more generally. We can design audits to meet your specific needs.
Service user perspectives: our work has involved gaining views of practice from children and parents using survey or focus group methods. Our research experience also includes generating themes of everyday practice through ethnographic observation of the work of social workers in their workplace.
